Girls: how is he popular with women?

My friend gets a ridiculous amount of girls, I don't understand why, its like they get keen when there around him. he's pretty quiet, he not funny, abit of a loner, he is skinny,not rich, hes boring although some girls say hes attractive so I can understand that in that sense.
