Is the universe eternal?
By eternal I don't necessarily mean infinite but more towards timeless, if that makes any sense. I mean accepting existence becomes so much easier when the answer to my question is yes. The complexity that comes with science and religion alike is that they are both looking for origin. When in truth nothing can really exist without always existing. If there was a point where something "started" it technically always existed, making the universe as we know it eternal. I'm not saying it can't be subject to change or destruction, but it has always been here in some way. It's a strange concept to grasp but I believe the universe was not created or started but just IS. We have no reason to believe the universe has not always existed, we just tend to think a lot about a point where the universe did not exist, so we seek origin. But maybe things just are, as hard as that may be to accept for most of us. Before anyone gives me their opinion think about what you believe the starting point was. Then understand that the point before that point there was something that was already in existence. The universe is eternal, and that is it. Opinions?
