Don't you think The Beatles sound dated, and even other 70's boy bands?

The Beatles were a 60s band not a 70s band. No, the Beatles do not sound dated, if they did why would they still be relevant in 2011? A song like "A Day In The Life" will never sound dated because it was ahead of it's time, nobody in 1967 thought about hiring a 40 piece orchestra to play on their albums, the Beatles did.
